From Hell is a horror movie directed by the Hughes brothers and based on the novel of the same name, by Alan Moore and Eddie Campbell, about murders of "Jack the Ripper".
In 1888, Mary Kelly (Heather Graham) with a group of London prostitutes trudge through a daily misery. When their friend Ann Crook becomes kidnapped, they start to believe in a conspiracy with links higher up than they could possibly imagine. The kidnapping is soon followed by the murder of another woman named Martha Tabram and it becomes obvious that they are being chased down as various prostitutes are killed. The murder of Martha and her group members interests the attention of Whitechapel Police Inspector Frederick Abberline, a skilled yet troubled man whose work is often aided by his psychic powers where he is able to see visions.
