Dead Man Walking is a 1995 American crime drama movie starring: Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn, and co produced & directed by Tim Robbins, who made the screenplay from the non fiction book Dead Man Walking. This movie is about a person convicted for killing a man and raping a girl before stabbing her to death. He denies doing this and Sister Helen Prejean (played by Susan Sarandon), establishes a special relationship with him, Matthew Poncelet, who becomes a prisoner on death row. The film goes about Sister Helen and Matthey trying to find ways to prove that he is innocent. The movie offcourse is based on true events making this a thriller from the start to the end. Imagine beeng convicted for something you did not do..But did he or did he not do it? If not why was he arrested by the police? What about Sister Helen, should one try to release a person from jail when having doubts? A movie that surely will inspire!
